August 19, 1953, ( 28 Mordad 1332 ) is a momentous day in the
history of the Iran National Movement.
On this day the Iranian reactionaries who were
motivated, financed and directed by the CIA, and with help form British
Intelligence, overthrew Dr. Mossadegh's National and Legal government.
A handful of loyal officers to Shah not only put an end to the freely
elected government, but arrested Dr. Mossadegh and tried him in a military
court where his defense of the Nation and the National Movement made him a hero, not only in Iran, but all over the world. He was originally sentenced to death, but this sentence was changed to three years
in jail and thereafter, for the rest of his life, to house arrest.
Along with Dr. Mossadegh and his loyal colleagues, thousands of
pro-National Movement citizens were also arrested; Dr. Hossein Fatemi,
Mossadegh's brave foreign minister who had courageously closed the British
Consulates in Iran-identifying them as nests of espionage-was executed;
Karimpour Shirazi, the journalist famous for his criticism of the Shah,
his corrupt sister Ashraf, and Darbar (the Shah Court) was burned to
death.
However, neither this infamous action against
democracy, nor the mock trial that followed, could put an end to the Iranian National Movement.
Nor could it abate the love and high regard the people had for Dr.
Mossadegh. After almost 50 years, the movement is still growing and moving forward.
As Mossadegh foresaw in the Military court that unsuccessfully tried to legitimate
the coup d'etat, the youth of Iran moved forward the wheel of the national movement that he,
Mossadegh, had started to turning.

(Darbar) and the financial and step by step help of the CIA and M 16 (British intelligence) overthrown Dr. Mossadegh National and Legal government by handful of royal officers to Shah.
However they never could hold the Iranian National Movement of growing and moving forward. As
Mossadegh foresee in the Military court, the youth of Iran moved forward the wheel of the national movement that he once started to move.
